We wish to apologise to all the club's supporters globally for the lack of updates and at times complete inavailability of your website. This was due to a major technical hitch which we are still working on hence still even the absence of photos accompanying stories. We recently decided to change hosting service providers and with all our best intentions and planning things unfortunately did not go according to plan and some factors way beyond our control overtook us. The fault lay somewhere between the old and the new providers, the less said the better. We undertake to ensure that you recieve all the latest news from your club hopefully without any further interruptions in future.
Happy holidays

A few months back many did not believe technical manager Mohammed Fathy when he said the team must finish among the top five. Fathy even put his head on the block by saying if that does not happen he will rather quit his job than let people suffer in agony.
The club wishes to sincerely apoligise to its many fans who regularly keep up with developments around their favourite team via this website as it was down over the last two days. This was caused by a technical fault on the .co.za domain. We will make every endeavour to ensure this does not happen again. May you contyinue to enjoy following your beloved team.

FAMILY dynasties are synonymous with many clubs the world over for example the Neville brothers at Manchester United, the Ferdinand brothers and cousin at Upton Park, West Ham in England, the Fashanus at Wimbledon, the Sonos at South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, the Khumalos (late father Pro and son Doctor) at Kaiser Chiefs and the list goes on. Highlanders is no different, and among some of the most prominent families of siblings and relatives to have played for Highlanders are the famous Ndlovu brothers (in the 90s someone once jokingly called Bosso, Ndlovu FC), the Nxumalos to name but a few. Another very prominent family that has become synonymous with Highlanders is the Dzowa dynasty and this month we give you an in depth insight into one of their stars Paul Tsumbe Dzowa.
SO many times over the years Bosso fans have heard this slogan “Ongafuniyo Kayekele”, meaning “those who do not want can leave us alone” or more politely “we are not desperate for the assistance of those lacking commitment” and wondered where that came from. This month the club’s website www.highlandersfc.co.zw sought to find out exactly how this phrase came to being and in the process located one of the club’s legends who was there at the time when this phrase came to being. Edward Magungubala Dlamini is a legend who played for the club in the early 60s and witnessed the birth and subsequent common use of this phrase among Highlanders supporters.
